American Health Magazine reported these findings from a recent study: • Psychoanalysis: 8% recovery after 600 sessions • Behavior Therapy: 72% recovery after 22 sessions • Hypnotherapy: 93% recovery after 6 sessions.

My current fee is $150 per session, or if a package is purchased, $595 for five sessions. Sessions usually last about an hour and a half, sometimes up to two hours. These prices will be going up. However, my clients have a right to reasonable 2-week notice of changes in charges. Whenever a package is purchased, it will be honored regardless of a fee increase as long as it is used within a six-month period.

INSURANCE: We DO NOT BILL INSURANCE. The Office of Hypnosis does NOT accept medicare, medical assistance, general assistance medical care. However, some insurance companies may reimburse you for services. Check with your insurance company or health savings plan for additional details. We suggest that you think of our services as something you will pay for personally. That will both, protect your privacy and make you value the work you are doing more.

The purpose of hypnosis or hypnotherapy is for vocational and avocational self-improvement, and as alternative or complementary treatment to healing arts services licensed by the state. Hypnosis works with the power of the subconscious mind to change habits and behaviors. The subconscious mind is considered to be the source or root of many of our behaviors, emotions, attitudes and motivations. Hypnosis is believed to be a powerful tool for accessing the subconscious mind and creating improvements in our lives. Services consist of a program of conditioning, including an undetermined number of private sessions, depending on the client’s individual needs.

Although most people feel a significant shift starting to occur from the first or second session, it normally takes a few to learn the new habits and seal in their effects. I generally recommend a set of five sessions or more. Everybody is different, and it is impossible to know in advance how much time you need to achieve change. What I have noticed through working with many different clients, is that the more effort you invest into this work, the more permanent the results are. Therefore, hypnosis is not something I do TO you. This is the work we do together. I simply show you what needs to be done and how to proceed. All hypnosis is ultimately self-hypnosis, because YOU are in charge. When you work with me, you decide when you are ready to go into trance, how deep you want it to be and what issues you want to work on. I simply guide you through it. If you ever feel uncomfortable you can always stop, open your eyes, or say something you have to say. The way I do it, you can hear and feel everything when you are in a hypnotic trance. I will keep you safe, as you take your conscious mind out of the way and allow your subconscious to find the right answers for you. All you need to do is just allow this to happen, expect it happening and enjoy it: Most people find this process very rewarding, relaxing and rejuvenating. However, I need you to come in rested. If you fall asleep during our session, that would not be a productive use of our time together.

I also teach all my clients tools they can use to keep themselves balanced, centered and grounded. When you are in that centered state, you become much more impermeable to annoying sounds, upsetting words, or thoughts.

How I choose my clients:

There are a few requirements I follow when accepting someone as a client. To see if hypnosis will work for you, ask yourself these questions:

  • Are you of average intelligence (average IQ or above average)?
  • Are you capable of relaxing? (Are you willing to allow yourself to relax?)
  • Are you capable of following directions? (You do not have to be perfect at everything, you just have to put in your best effort.)
  • Are you willing to follow directions?

If you answered “yes” (or “I think so”) to these four questions, and you have something you would like to address in your life, or if there is something you want to learn about yourself, I will be happy to help you.
